Dr. Christopher Gostout, Class of 1968

Dr. Gostout is currently an associate professor of medicine at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Nationally listed in 26 specialties, he is ranked among the top gastroenterologists in the United States. A former president of the American Society Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, he is also highly regarded in the field of therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. Gostout is also a member of The Apollo Group, a collaboration of which allows the pooling of information from seven thought-leading gastroenterologists and surgeons from the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Texas Medical Branch and the Digestive Disease Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Gostout attended medical school at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, and did his residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic.
