Since 2001, Fr. Jerome has served as the pastor of Sacred Heart Parish on Staten Island.
After graduating from Farrell, where he was a member of the marching band, history club, and vice president of the student council, Fr. Jerome attended Fordham University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981. He went on to receive his Masters in Divinity at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie.
Fr. Jerome was ordained in 1988 by the late John Cardinal O’Conner and credits the great teachers at Farrell for having influenced his decision to enter the priesthood. He has been back to his alma mater on numerous occasions, including offering mass and hearing confessions for the student body.
Prior to being assigned to Sacred Heart Parish, Fr. Jerome brought his ministry to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Scarsdale from 1987-1993 and after serving at St. Mary’s in Poughkeepsie for one year, he moved on to St. Patrick’s in Yorktown Heights where he served from 1994 -2001.
