John Gallucci, Class of 1985

In addition to his role as President of JAG Physical Therapy, John Gallucci, Jr. is the Medical Coordinator for Major League Soccer.

He is the former head trainer for the New York Red Bulls Major League Soccer team, the New Jersey Storm of the National Lacrosse League, the New Jersey Pride of Major League Lacrosse, and the New York Athletic Club wrestling team, and has worked in the athletic departments at New York University, Long Island University, and Columbia University.

John has been a sports medicine consultant for many local and national athletic clubs and teams, including USA Wrestling and the New Jersey Gladiators of the Arena Football League.

After graduating from Farrell, John received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the College of Staten Island, a master’s degree in sports medicine and athletic training from Long Island University, and a second master’s degree and clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Dominican College. He also currently serves as a resource to the New Jersey Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health.

He has been closely associated with the wrestling program at Farrell for many years, and has been an important factor in turning the program into one of the most successful in the metropolitan area.  His brother Mario, a successful lawyer on Staten Island, is also a graduate of the Farrell, Class of 1982.
