Bob Pangia, Class of 1969

A partner in the firm of Ivy Capital Partners and a general partner with Ivy Healthcare Capital, Bob has spent 31 years in the investment banking and private equity businesses with a particular emphasis on working with healthcare and technology companies.

Bob received an A.B. in Economics from Brown University in 1973 and an M.B.A. with distinction from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 1977.

From 1997 to 2003 Bob worked as a private merchant banker. From 1987 until 1996, Bob served as Executive Vice President and Director of Investment Banking at PaineWebber Incorporated. He also held a number of senior management positions including; Member of the Board of Directors of PaineWebber Incorporated, and member of the firm’s executive and operating committees.

In 2003 Bob co-founded Ivy Capital Partners, the general partner of Ivy Healthcare Capital, L.P. (Fund I), a private equity firm dedicated to investing in the orthopedic space.

He is currently serving as a director for three of Ivy’s portfolio companies; Serica Technologies, Inc., Gentis, Inc. and Auriga Medical Products, GmbH.

Bob is also currently a director of McAfee Inc., and Biogen Idec, and has formerly served as a director of Athena Neurosciences, and Ryan, Beck Corporation.

An avid and generous supporter of Farrell, Bob and wife Stephanie live in New Jersey.
